Command Chief Master Sergeant, New York Air National Guard

Command Chief Master Sergeant Richard D. King is the Wing Command Chief of the New York Air National Guard's 107th Airlift Wing at Niagara Falls Joint Air Reserve Station in Niagara Falls, New York. As the Wing Command Chief, he reports directly to the Wing Commander on enlisted personnel issues, to include professional military education, enlisted promotions, mentorship, morale, family, community relations, and esprit de corps.

Command Chief Master Sergeant King joined the United States Air Force in October 1978 and transferred to the New York Air National Guard in October 1982. Command Chief King served as Security Forces Specialist for 22yrs.

Command Chief Master Sergeant King also completed a 5 year assignment as a Squadron First Sergeant. Command Chief Master Sergeant King has deployed in support of several operations including Operation Decisive/Joint Endeavour, Operation Bright Star 2000, Operation Noble Eagle, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Command Chief Master Sergeant King’s most recent deployments were as the NCOIC of Anti Terrorism and Force Protection at Peter J. Ganci AB, Kyrgyzstan (2002-2003), and US Naval Station Diego Garcia, Indian Ocean 2005. Command Chief Master Sergeant King was also deployed as the Group Superintendent, 322nd Air Base Wing, 447th Air Expeditionary Group, Sather Air Base, Baghdad Iraq, 2008.
