FORT HOOD--The commander of the New York Army National Guards 42nd Infantry Division Major General Steven Ferrari left and Division Command Sergeant Major Corey Cush officially case the units colors at Fort Hood Texas on March 1 2020This ceremony involves the Divisions colors or flag being covered until the unit arrives overseas for their deployment where it will be unfurled again. The division headquarters 650 Soldiers will be deploying to the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility in the Middle East to exercise mission command of Task Force Spartan.
