NEW YORK -- Six hundred Soldiers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry, wait for a farewell ceremony to begin a the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York on June 14, 2022. The Soldiers are deploying to the Horn of African in September. They left the ceremony on buses heading to Fort Drum, New York to continue training for the mission.
