LATHAM-- Col. Theodore Limpert and other members of Joint Forces headquarters-New York Air National Guard practice chest compressions as part of the American Heart Association's newest Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)training program.
Thirty New York Air National Guardsmen participated in the March training session and committed to the training of an additional 90 family members and friends.
"This was a great opportunity for our headquarters staff to gain life saving training," stated State Air Surgeon Dr. (Col) Reid Muller, who himself has saved two lives through use of CPR training. "Based upon our success with the headquarters staff, it is our hope that we might encourage similar training sessions in Air National Guard units statewide," he said.
