NYANG Image PLUM ISLAND, NY - Pararescue jumpers, combat rescue officers and Airmen from the New York Air National Guard’s 106th Rescue Wing conduct casualty recovering training at artillery emplacements which were once part of Fort Terry, an old coast defense installation, on April 13. Located east of Long Island’s north fork the U.S. government-owned island is also home to the United States Department of Agriculture’s Plum Island Animal Disease Center.
