STRATTON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE--Pilot Maj Joshua Hicks arrives at Stratton ANGB after flying a New York Air National Guard LC-130 aircraft assigned to the 109th Airlift Wing from Antarctica in support of the National Science Foundation operations. The ski-equipped LC-130s operated by the 109th Airlift Wing are the only aircraft in the United States military capable of landing on snow and ice.
