Nov. 4 2023. The evaluation was one of six challenging events in the 27th IBCTs annual best warrior competition.

Kyle Heitzenrater (right) a Buffalo resident and a member of E Company 427th Brigade Support Battalion which supports the 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion takes the oath of reenlistment in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol in Washington D.C. on January 21 2021 before the John Trumbell paintings of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the surrender of the British Army at the Battle of Saratoga. Capt. Patrick Halpin administered the oath. Heitzenrater was one of 15 Soldiers from the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team on duty in Washington DC from January 7 to January 27 extended their enlistsments at historic landmarks while in Washington.

Fort Drum, NY Soldiers assigned to Delta Company, 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, prepare to launch a RQ-7B Shadow Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, July 28. The Soldiers were at Fort Drum for their Annual Training where they were able to log flight time with the aircraft to maintain their certifications.

Shields journeyed to Long Island along with Command Sgt. Major David Piwowarski and Major General Tim LaBarge the commmander of the New York Air National Guard to meet with Soldiers and Airmen mobilized for the COVID19 pandemic response mission. The Old Westbury facility was built so it could be equipped and staffed as an overflow hospital is necessary.

Bennett and Czarnecki unfurled the flag to mark the end of the conversion of the unit from a special troops battalion to an engineer battalion with two engineer companies instead of one.
