ALBANY-- New York Army National Guard Spc. Matthew Levine a member of the 42nd Infantry Division Band plays background music on a grand piano at the New York State Executive Mansion in Albany during a receiption held for the King and Queen of the Netherlands on June 12 2024. The bands jazz performance team also provided music during the event hosted by Gov. Kathy Hochul. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited Albany because of the ties between the city and the Netherlands.

JERUSALEM--Soldiers assigned to the New York Army National Guards 42nd Infantry Division Bands rock ensemble perform during the U.S. Embassys Independence Day reception at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem Israel on July 3 2023. The band performed a two hour set during the almost four hour evening event.

MONTAUK POINT-- The New York Army National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division "Rainbow" Band plays a free concert at the famed Montauk Point Lighthouse with the Atlantic Ocean in the background on Saturday, August 6. The performance was the last in a series of public performances which included playing at the United Nations in the New York city, and in Port Washington and Greenport on Long Island.

LATHAM- Thirty Soldiers of the New York Army National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division band, perform at New York National Guard headquarters, Latham, N.Y., July 17, 2020. Usually holding at least 15 to 20 concerts a year, all performances were cancelled due to COVID-19, with the band arranging this one performance in order to meet training requirements and certify their mission as a band.

MALTA-- The 42nd Infantry Division Band marches down Main Street in the Town of Malta on Sunday, Sept. 11, during a parade held to commemorate the events of Sept. 11, 2001 and the emergency responders who rushed to help those in need. ALBANY--New York Army National Guard Chief Warrant Officer Mark Kimes, commander of the 42nd Infantry Division Band, guest conducts the United States Army Field Band Saturday, March 7 at the Hart Theater, Empire State Plaza for the Performing Arts. The field band performed across New York State this month as part of their spring 2009 tour. Kimes commands the Army National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division Band, based at Camp Smith, N.Y. near Peekskill with approximately 50 Citizen Soldier musicians. The National Guard band under Kimes' leadership mobilized and deployed to Iraq in 2004-05 as part of the 42nd Infantry Division service in North Central Iraq, providing security augmentation support and musical performances for U.S. and Iraqi audiences.
