On Order, the 642nd Aviation Support Battalion (ASB) trains, mobilizes and deploys to a designated area of operations in order to conduct combat support, and combat service support operations in support of the Combat Aviation Brigade. As directed, the 642nd Aviation Support Battalion also provides direct support to civil authorities (DSCA) and supports homeland security (HLS) operations.
