College Savings Program
New York’s College Savings Program offers a convenient and affordable way to save for your child’s education. Regular contributions may be made through payroll direct deposit. This program offers significant tax benefits, including a New York State income tax deduction for yearly contributions of up to $5,000 per employee. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
DMNA offers a free, confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The program is designed to provide professional counseling and referrals for services that can help with problems that may affect the quality of employees’ personal life or job performance. https://worklife.ny.gov/eap/
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
Employees may enroll in either of two flexible spending accounts: dependent care advantage account and health care spending account. Each plan offers employees the opportunity to defer pre-tax monies to pay for certain eligible out-of-pocket expenses. Employees may enroll during the first 30 days of employment or each year during the annual open enrollment period. FSAs are 100 percent employee funded. http://www.flexspend.ny.gov/
Tuition Reimbursement
DMNA encourages employees to pursue higher education goals. Eligible employees enrolled in an approved degree program or taking approved courses at any college, university or professional/technical school registered by the New York State Department of Education may be eligible for tuition reimbursement.

Performance Evaluations - Are you up to date with your employees’ performance evaluations? As a supervisor it is your responsibility to conduct annual performance evaluations on your employees. As an employee, you should encourage your supervisor to conduct an annual performance evaluation. Ensure current performance evaluations have been filed with the Human Resources Office.
Identification Cards - Is your identification card about to expire? Plan ahead of time and don’t wait till the last minute to update your identification card and common access card (CAC). For non-airbase employees, contact Human Resources before going to obtain a new CAC. Airbase employees contact Security Police at your base.
