The New York National Guard State Family Programs Office (SFPO) uses resources, communication, involvement, support, and recognition between the New York National Guard and its Service Members and their loved ones in a partnership that promotes the best in both. The SFPO is tasked with budgetary, policy and procedure as well as administrative duties to appropriately oversee all aspects of the New York National Guard Family Programs. It is the SFPO’s duty and responsibility to ensure that the successful delivery of services is implemented in the most efficient and effective manor, so that service members, as well as their loved ones, obtain the fullest support throughout their service member’s career.
The New York National Guard SFPO provides education, resources, and support through collaboration with federal, state, and local programs to ensure Service Members, Families and Veterans are informed and resilient while promoting retention and mission readiness.
The goal of the New York National Guard SFPO is to enhance the quality of life for National Guard members, their families, and the communities in which they live. The SFPO will accomplish this by building a robust network of trained volunteers allied with Active and Reserve Components; government agencies; employers; Veteran and Volunteer Service Organizations, and private businesses in support of all military Service members and their families throughout New York State.
