In accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Fiscal Year 2017, conversion of a certain number of dual status (DS) positions and all remaining non-dual status (NDS) Title 32 Technician positions will be converted to Title 5 National Guard Competitive Status by 1 Oct 2017.
This page is intended to provide awareness and information on the conversion process. Much of the Title 32 to Title 5 conversion guidance is still evolving and awaiting final approval from NGB Technician Branch. The conversion activities/timeline may shift depending on potential legislative changes and direction by NGB.
National Unions are being consulted through National Guard Bureau J1, and local unions are being informed by the Labor Relations Specialist within our State.
The Human Resource Office will be holding Town Hall Meetings to inform personnel affected by this law on their benefits and other matters pertaining to their employment status. A schedule of the meetings will be posted on this site once the dates/locations are confirmed.
