ROCHESTER - Maj. Gen. Joseph Taluto, and his wife Susan Taluto, address Soldiers and family members of the 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry Saturday Nov. 22, via video, at the Woodcliff Resort & Conference Center.
The soldiers and their families gathered for The New York Army National Guard Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program. The NYARNG Reintegration Program is an effort to help Soldiers and their families cope with stress of returning to civilian life after deployment, while also helping National Guard Units transition from federal mobilization status back to state control.
The two day event included opening remarks by Brig. Gen. Patrick Murphy, Director Joint Forces Headquarters and was followed by a Job Fair type event featuring VA, veterans groups, legal assistance, etc.
The 2-108th Infantry (Security Force Company) recently returned from Afghanistan where they served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a member of Task Force Phoenix VI and VII.
