ROCHESTER - Specialist Kevin Gilbo and his girlfriend Elizabeth Kearns talk with Michelle Pipas from Syracuse University’s Office of Admissions, Saturday March 21 at Rochester’s Riverside Convention Center, site of the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration program’s 60-day event.
Soldiers, spouses and family members of the New York Army National Guard’s 27th Brigade Combat Team took part in the two day event as a "follow on" to the 30-day event held in February. A variety of programs, counseling and a career fair were available to the Soldiers and their families to help them transition from full time Soldier in a combat environment back to Citizen Soldier.
More than 1,500 members of the 27th BCT spent most of 2008 in Afghanistan training the Afghan Army and Police
