Gov. Paterson Announces Guard Activation

GOWANDA--Gov. David Paterson holds a press conference at Gowanda Middle School on Wednesday, Aug. 12 to announce the mobilization of the New York Army National Guard?s 152nd Engineer Support Company to support flood recovery efforts in the area following flash flooding on Sunday, August 9. He is joined by Brig. Gen. Patrick Murphy, Director of the Joint Staff for the New York National Guard and Mr. John Gibb (right) Director of the State Emergency Management Office. To the left of Brig. Gen. Murphy is 2nd Lt. Kevin Kopec of the 152nd Eng Support Company.
