GREAT NEW YORK STATE FAIR, Syracuse--New York Air National Guard Master Sgt. Edward Begel (right) explains an F-16 cockpit simulator to Vietnam veteran Alfred Harding of Newark, New York on Thursday, Sept. 4.
Harding, who served as an Air Force tailgunner during Vietnam, was one of many visitors to the Air National Guard Recruiting Station during the day set aside to honor veterans at the state fair.
Begel is a flight Line expediter with the Syracuse unit.
