Getting a Glimpse of Army National Guard History

ALBANY - Col. Eric Hesse, New York National Guard Inspector General (left) and Maj. Joseph Chodnicki, New York National Guard Deputy Training Officer study the Task Force Phoenix display on the New York Army National Guard in Afghanistan, during the opening of the Citizen Soldier exhibit at the New York State Museum on May 27.
The exhibit, "Citizen Soldier: The New York National Guard in the American Century" officially opened for the Memorial Day weekend on Thursday, May 27. The exhibit runs through March 2011.
