First Aid Training at Fort Drum

FORT DRUM--New York Army National Guard Sgt. John Dertinger, a fire support specialist with headquarters and headquarters company, 2nd battalion, 108th infantry, checks the pulse of a trainer dummy during the unit’s premobilization training. The unit is part of the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team that will be training at Fort Drum, NY in preparation of a 2012 deployment to Afghanistan.
