CAMP SMITH--New York Army National Guard Major Luis Marquez speaks with Cable Channel News 12 Reporter Chelsea Edmonds during a farewell ceremony for the New York Stability Transition Team held here on Sunday, Jan. 15. The team, composed of 48 Army National Guard Senior officers and non-commissioned officers will work with Afghan National Army and police force units to help prepare for the withdrawal of U.S. and allied forces. The team will train at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, and deploy to Afghanistan later this year.
