CITI FIELD, New York -- Members of the New York Guard, the state’s volunteer defense force, stand in formation on April 1 during Opening Day ceremonies here which honored Hurricane Sandy responders. The New York Guard assisted in the response to Hurricane Sandy, along with members of the Army and Air National Guard and the New York Naval Militia.
