NY Guardsmen join Kuwait Memorial Day vigil

CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait-- More than 6,800 luminaries glow in the Kuwaiti night here during a Memorial Day vigil held on May 26. New York Army National Guard Soldiers of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade, who are currently deployed here, participated in the event as well as in a 5k run held on Memorial Day. Each light commemorated an American servicemember who died in Afghanistan or Iraq.
