Joint Force Headquarters Marks Army Birthday

LATHAM- The New York National Guard's oldest Soldier-- 65-year old Col. Joan Sullivan (right)-- joins one of its youngest Soldiers, 19-year old Pvt. 1st Class Jack Jeffers, (right) and Brig. Gen. Raymond Shields (center) the director of joint staff for the New York National Guard, in cutting a cake during a celebration of the Army's 239th Birthday on Friday, June 13 at Division of Military and Naval Affairs Headquarters. The United States Army was created on June 14, 1775.
