Weapons Training for Joint Task Force Members

CAMP SMITH-- New York Amy National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Celso Benites provide instructions on proper sight picture adjustments for the 9mm Glock pistol to Spc. Osei Gaddy a member Joint Forces Headquarters, newly assigned to Joint Task Force Empire Shield here on Oct. 15. Gaddy is one of almost 300 Soldiers and Airmen added to the New York City security task force at the direction of Gov. Andrew Cuomo to bring its strength up to 500. Task force members carry a Glock weapon similar to those used by police forces and must be trained on the sidearm when they are assigned to JTF Empire Shield duty.
