CAMP SMITH TRAINING SITE, N.Y. -- New York Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Santo Villar, a member of the 442nd Military Police Company, enjoys a moment with his son after the company's deployment ceremony here on Jan. 3. The unit, based in Queens, N.Y., is heading to Fort Hood, Texas for training before deploying to conduct security operations at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba in early 2016.
