New York National Guard Soldiers, and New York Guard volunteers, assigned to Joint Task Force COVID-19 took time to lay a wreath at a memorial to Revolutionary War Soldier John Jacob "Rifle Jack" Peterson
at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson N.Y. on March 4 2021. "Rifle Jack" Peterson was a Revolutionary War patriot of African and Kitchawan descent whose heroism helped repel British forces in Croton New York.
