New Gate Guardian for 106th Rescue Wing

WESTHAMPTON BEACH- Air National Guard members move the HC-130 dubbed "The Spirit of Long Island" into position as a "gate guardian" for F.S. Gabreski Air National Guard Base in Westhampton Beach, New York on August 16, 2021. The aircraft, which saw service during the Vietnam War, was taken out of service in 2019. The aircraft's wings were removed for the move and will be assembled at its final position. The disassembling and move was completed by Air National Guard service members from New York, Connecticut, Arkansas and US Air Force Active duty personnel.
