BINGHAMTON--Lt. Col. Kevin OReilly commander of the 204th Engineer Battalion and Command Sgt. Maj. Jay Symonds case the battalions colors during the deployment ceremony for Headquarters and Headquarters Company 204th Engineer Battalion New York at the Binghamton Armory on Oct. 8 2026. Friends families and distinguished guests gathered to bid farewell to the Soldiers ahead of their deployment in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard on the southern border. The Soldiers, and those of the battalion's Forward Support Company, will support Border Patrol operations.
