TROY-- Major General Jack James unfurls the flag of the New York Army National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division during the division's "Yellow Ribbon" ceremony held at the Troy Armory on Sept. 12, 2026. The unfurling of the division's colors at it's Troy headquarters symbolized the division's official return home from a deployment to the Middle East which ended in June. The division headquarters played a key role during combat operations against Iran prior to returning home.
