CAMP SMITH--U.S. Army Lt. Col. Chad Clark base operations manager of Camp Smith Training Site New York Army National Guard Christopher Panzer director of Camp Smith Maj. Gen. Raymond Shields the adjutant general of New York and Sharon Buck executive deputy commissioner of the New York State Office of General Services cut the ribbon during a ceremony to open Building 508A at Camp Smith Training Site near Peekskill Cortlandt Manor N.Y. Oct. 29 2026. Built to qualify for environmentally friendly certification, the 3.5 million 3000-square-foot facility provides modern billeting for senior enlisted leaders officers and enlisted Soldiers with modern hotel-style quarters at the installation. It is the first completed phase of a 75000-square-foot modernization authorization.
