LATHAM--Soldiers of the New York Army National Guard's 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade observe a moment of silence on Friday, Nov. 6 to honor the 12 Soldiers and one civilian killed in a shooting at Fort Hood, Texas, on Nov. 5.
At the Direction of the Secretary of the Army, Soldiers around the world and on U.S. Army vessels observed a moment of silence at 1:34 p.m. Central Time in order to remember their comrades killed in the shooting, which is still under investigation.
The 42nd CAB Soldiers were practicing for a Change-of-Command Ceremony that is to take place Saturday, Nov. 7.
