19 Jan, 2019TROY-- Soldiers assigned to the headquarters battalion of the New York Army National Guards 42nd Infantry Division check vehicles at the divison headquarters in Troy N.Y. on Jan. 19 2019 as they prepare to assist local governments as a major snow storm approaches New York. The New York National Guard placed 450 Soldiers and Airmen on State Active Duty organized into immediate response forces of 20 personnel and 5 vehicles in key locations across the state in preparation for the storm.

Fillmore was president from 1850-1853 and has a wreath laid at his grave every year on his birthday by the 107th Attack Wing New York Air National Guard on behalf of the current president.
2 Jan, 2019Operating any motor vehicle safely in adverse conditions requires planning and awareness. Operating a tactical vehicle in these conditions also requires training and familiarity with the vehicle. But even with all the right tools, unexpected hazards may still quickly create dangerous situations. The New York National Guard Safety office reminds Soldiers to think ahead, focus on PMCS and anticipate road hazards while driving in adverse conditions.
