27th Goes House-to-House

Soliders of B Company 2nd Squadron 101st Cavalry practice house-to-house combat at the Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training site at Fort Drum on December 7, 2007.

The Soldiers, along with 1,400 other members of the New York Army National Guard's 27th Brigade Combat Team, are due to deploy to Afghanistan in 2008 to train the Afghan National Army and police forces. The B Company soldiers, who will deploy as a specially trained and equipped security force, were attending an additional week of training at Fort Drum to prepare for their mobilization in January,along with other members of the brigade.
