Packing Up and Moving Out

January 17, 2008 - Specialist Joseph Barber (left) and Sgt. 1st Class Charles Young position and seal pallets on the floor of the Thompson Road Armory as they work to prepare the New York Army National Guard�s 27th Brigade Combat Team Headquarters for deployment to Afghanistan.

Both Soldiers are assigned to the brigade�s Communication Section.
Soldiers of the 27th BCT depart for Fort Bragg, North Carolina on January 20th for a two month train-up period before heading to Afghanistan.

The brigade�s Soldiers will be responsible for training the Afghan National Army and Police during their deployment.
