New York Naval Militia Major General Robert Wolf, is congratulated by by Major General Joseph Taluto (left) the Adjutant General, following his promotion in the New York Naval Militia on Monday, Jan. 28.
Major General Wolf, a retired Marine officer, is the commander of the Naval Militia, a force comprised of Navy and Marine Corps Reservists who volunteer to perform state duties.
The New York Naval Militia is one of seven state naval defense forces and is the oldest in the United States .
