New York Soldiers Heading for Alabama Training

Members of the New York Army National Guard's 1427th Medium Truck Company inspect their trucks before departing for Annual Training at Fort McClellan, Alabama on April 24.

The company is part of the 501st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Battalion which also includes an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company and an MP company.

The New York Citizen Soldiers will spend their 21-day Annual Training period practicing convoy operations and anti-IED techniques.
The convoy staged at Stratton Air National Guard Base, home of the New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing in Scotia, New York.
