Members of the New York Army and Air National Guard, and the all-volunteer New York Guard, teamed up with FDNY to practice the skills they would employ jointly in extracting victims from a building hit be a terrorist attack or a suspect explosion. More than 500 members of the New York National Guard took part in the exercise which ran from May 2 to May 4.
