An F-16C assigned to the New York Air National Guard's 174th Fighter Wing vaults into the sky from Hancock Field Air National Guard Base in Syracuse early on the morning of June 10.
The Air Guard Fighting Falcons are bound for Iraq where they will be stationed in support of ground troops. This is the last rotation with F-16s for the 174th Fighter Wing. The unit will transition to the unmanned MQ-9 Reaper attack aircraft when they return from the deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom
