FORT DRUM -- Corporal Nicholas Sbano, a New York Pre-Mobilization Assistance Element (PTAE) Officer Controller/Trainer, and Spc. Leslie Thomas, an assistant instructor, aid deploying Soldiers in moving through a barbed wire obstacle course on August 8.
Formed in April, 2007, the 21-day-long PTAE training was deemed necessary by Maj. Gen. Joseph Taluto, the Adjutant General of New York, to provide important instruction and certification to deploying Soldiers.
