LATHAM, N.Y. - Soldiers of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade conduct a Soldier of the Year board competition on Feb. 8.
The board was held to select a traditional Soldier of the Year, an Active Guard and Reserve Soldier and a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) of the Year.
During the inspection of each Soldiers individual equipment portion of the competition Sgt. 1st Class Michael Giarusso, 42nd CAB Headquarters and Headquarters Company Readiness NCO and Sgt. Donna Malinoski, check the condition of Spc. Christopher Smalls TA-50 at the N.Y. National Guard Headquarters distance learning center. In the background to the left are Sgt. Michael Alois and Spc.
