Western New York Leaders Exercise Disaster Plans

BUFFALO--Local, county, state and military officials gathered at the Adams Mark Hotel in Buffalo on Sept. 2, for a Senior Leaders Table Top Exercise for Vigilant Guard 2009 to discuss the simulated earthquake scenario set to strike western New York in early November setting the stage for the full scale exercise.
"The level of participation, as evidenced by everyone here in this room who works daily on preparedness, serves us well, " said New York National Guard Brig. Gen. Patrick Murphy, director of Joint Staff for the Guard."You should take credit for participating in anevent that runs from local to national in scope."
