LATHAM - Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joseph Biden gives a hug to Theresa Martel, whose husband, 1st Sgt. Joseph Martel, is deployed with the 206th Military Police Company in Basra, Iraq, as Susan Taluto, the wife of Maj. Gen. Joseph Taluto, the Adjutant General, looks on.
Dr. Biden spent the afternoon of Sept. 21 visting New York National Guard Headquarters to learn more about the New York Army National Guard Yellow Ribbon Program. She was in the Capital Region to accompany President Barak Obama to Hudson Valley Community College for a speech there.
