WESTHAMPTON BEACH - Crew members from Army Aviation Support Facility-1 in Ronkonkoma do some innovative readiness training on Oct. 6 by airlifting abandoned vehicles out of the Pine Barren area. They worked in association with the Pine Barrens Law Enforcement Council. New York Aviators have been assisting the Pine Barren Council for a number of years to remove abandoned vehicles in order to beautify and clear areas for walking and bike trails.
