ALBANY -- Members of the all-volunteer organization, AmeriCorps from the Buffalo, N.Y. area start packing care packages to be sent to Soldiers of the New York Army National Guard�s 206th Military Police Company who are currently serving in Iraq.
Besides packing care packages, AmeriCorps and other local and state organizations also contributed by gift wrapping presents for children of military personnel, writing letters to Soldiers, making Welcome Home banners and Hero kits for children of Soldiers.
The event took place at the New York State convention center on Nov. 20.
