Rainbow Division Trains with Japanese Counterparts

CAMP CHITOSE, Japan --New York Army National Guard Lt. Col. Patrick Macklin, the deputy G3 for the 42nd Infantry Division (left), tells Maj. Takashi Kobayashi, the assistant G3 for the Japanese Defense Forces 2nd Division how they use slides to brief the 42nd Infantry Division commanding general on combat power.
The 42nd Infantry Division is conducting a command post exercise in conjunction with the Japan Ground Self Defense Force as part of Yama Sakura 57,an anuual exercise between the Ground Self Defense Force and the United States Army.
