Governor Paterson Meets Guard Soldiers, Families

TARRYTOWN--New York Governor David Paterson meets with Soldiers, leaders and family members of the 442nd Military Police Company on Saturday, Dec. 5, during a Yellow Ribbon Program pre-mobilization meeting at the Marriott Hotel here.
The governor spoke to the Soldiers and their families before meeting privately with a few members of the unit.
In his remarks he thanked the members of the unit for their sacrifice and the families for supporting their Soldiers.
"Remember that your family,your friends, The State of New York, and the United States of America stand squarely behind you," Gov. Paterson said.
The 442nd deployed to Iraq in 2003 and is due to return in the spring of 2010.
