Change of Command at Aviation Battalion

RONKONOMA, Long Island- Lieutenant Colonel Mark Slusar hands off the battalion colors of the 3rd Battalion, 142nd Assault Helicopter Battalion to Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Imbarrato for safekeeping. Slusar replaced Lt. Col. Albert Ricci as the new commander for the 142nd on Dec. 5 at the Army Aviation Support Facility 1 at McArthur airport in Long Island.
However, Slusar once commanded an aviation detachment from the 142nd while serving on peacekeeping duties in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
