New York Guard Gala Salute

United States Military Academy, West Point -- New York Guard Staff Sgt.Louis Amigroni stands in formation with four other Honor Guard members during the presentation of a POW/MIA missing man ceremony at the New York Guard and Naval Militia's Holiday Gala here Dec. 5.

During the honorary formation, the five cover bearers furnished the head gear of the United States Marine Corps, Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, representing men from each branch who were not in attendance.

The Gala is an annual event held to promote camaraderie and fellowship among the state's service members from the NY Guard, the NY Naval Militia, Division of Military and Naval Affairs, and the Office of Homeland Security, during the holiday season.
