STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Newburgh-- Members of New York Task Force 1, the New York City Urban Search and Rescue Team, roll through the gates of Stewart Air National Guard Base on Thursday, Jan. 14, to prepare for a possible deployment to Haiti.
The team brought their equipment and personnel to the base, 70 miles north of New York City, to wait for pickup. Members of the 105th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard secured their gear and stand prepared to assist in helping them depart for Haiti when an aircraft is available.
