Time Together Before Leaving

WALTON - New York Army National Guard Sgt. Randelle Mcumber and her boyfriend Matthew Kiesow take some time together during the mobilization ceremony for members of the 827th Engineer Company held at the State Armory here on Thursday, Feb. 18.
Mcumber, a logistic's specialist assigned to the company's Detachment 1, said she is "is anxious to go" .
"The sooner we go and do this, the sooner we come home," she said. "I think it will be a good experience."
The Soldiers reported to the company's main armory in Horseheads following the Thursday ceremony.
The company will deploy from the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center at the Elmira Airport to Fort McCoy Wisconsin on Sunday, Feb. 21.
