Rescue Wing Salutes Medal of Honor Recipients

COPIAGUE, LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- Members of the New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing Color Guard appeared with Army Honor Guard Soldiers at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Copiague, N.Y. March 25 for the National Medal of Honor Day ceremony. The event honored members of the military who were awarded the Medal of Honor for their service and focused more specifically on Medal of Honor recipients from the State of New York. The event was organized by Moe Fletcher and included guest speakers Jim McDonough, Chief Master Sgt. Dennis Richardson, USAF (ret), Air Force Cross Recipient, and Dan and Maureen Murphy, the Gold Star Parents of Lt. Michael Murphy, a Medal of Honor recipient. Photo by Staff Sgt. David J.
