NEW YORK HARBOR-- Officers from the National Guards of New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands pose before the Statue of Liberty during a security tour of New York Harbor conducted by the New York Naval Militia on Tuesday, August 17.
Officers from the National Guards of Federal Emergency Management Administration Region II gathered at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn this week to plan for the creation of a regional Homeland Response Force; a National Guard team that could respond to chemical, biological, and radiological attacks within the area.
